Hey I’m Sarah,
I’m your host for the workshop and I want to help you succeed in your journey to better bone health.
I gained a passion for improving bone health after taking care of my grandmother. Over the ten years she lived with my family, she experienced two hip fractures. At the time I was unaware of anything we could have done outside of medications to reduce her fracture risk or to improve her bone health.
Years later while in a yoga teacher training, one of my teachers, who is also a physical therapist, mentioned that medical research had been done showing practicing yoga could improve osteoporosis. This was a life changing moment for me. I had to learn everything that I could about bone health, fitness, and nutrition for bone health.
Now in addition to being a 500-hour trained yoga teacher with an additional 40 hours of training specific to osteoporosis, I’ve completed the 20-hour BoneFit training, and I’m also an Integrative Nutritional Health Coach certified through INN (The Institute for Integrative Nutrition).
I look forward to working with you or your friends on building strength, improving balance and posture to improve bone density and your overall well being.
